What is the main difference (beside appearance) in garlic cloves and garlic shoots?
Are the benefits the same? I am going to try to get the shoots from garlic cloves and trim as needed. Any thoughts, ideas?
Organ Meat recipes
Ms. Marjory mentioned in today's webinar (https://vimeo.com/612701082) how many people have trouble eating organ meats, but that they are very nutritious. I, frankly LOVE organ meats! Let's compile some good recipes.
Feasible Alternatives to Canning
I think I officially hate canning now. What if I dehydrate produce and keep a four season garden? I’m reading the Elliott Coleman book now. Is that a realistic goal? Has anyone on here done that successfully?
Restaurant quality home fries
One of the main tricks of the trade I learned working in restaurants is that good fries are always twice fried. First you "par fry" them, then just before serving, you quickly put them back in the deep fryer to crisp them up and serve them hot. Being a single guy, I rarely crank up the deep fryer. I have found that par…
An interesting article from Mother Earth News about a "house" blend tea. She talks about sourcing the ingredients from what is available on their property. She didn't mention mulberry leaves, which I have in abundance. I had that in another discussion a while back.

Cut them up when home and cooked applesauce from it using the receipt my grandmother used Just add some water and let it cook for some time and don't forget to stir at the end I added…

Several dashes hot sauce and a little Worcestershire, some…

Let rise 2 hours, punch down, rise another…
AKA Japanese Pumpkin Got these in my CSA basket. These are now part of a Squash soup along with a butternut, Hubbard and acorn squash. As she says this is a "hard headed squash". I didn't find this video before it killed my electric knife. Will add a pic of the seeds later. They're huge and easily the size of a US dime. I…
