Has anyone had any experience and/or success using sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) fruit as medicine? I made a tincture with cheap vodka and it helps my husband’s wheezing and my dad’s congestion. I take a dropper full when I’m congested and the results are fast! We love it so much that I did 4 more quarts. It is WONDERFUL!! We take it at first sign of colds too.
How could elderberry's withstand a temp over 118 and have healing properties still abundant? I want to make my own syrup from my bushes next summer and want to be as knowledgeable as I can be so I don't ruin it but also so it is as potent a healer as possible. Thanks for any and all responses.
