When we got to the field, it looked as though someone had just finished shucking lots of corn & stripping the kernels off the corn cobs. The husks & empty cobs were laying at the edge of the…

Stocking up on OTC medications
I think all of us, or most of us, prefer not to use many, or any, over the counter medicines so I just saw this list on Pinterest and wondered how many of these items we could find a substitute for, that would be safer and more healthful. Hi guys, I reckon I'm at stage 3 , with the stage 7 already working for me, according to Marjery's classification: I have made a Declaration, I have succesfully treated my own (beginnings of) arthritis with elderflower and astragalus essences. Jewelweed Salve
Yes, today is a day of discovery. I have often wondered what jewelweed was. I saw it today (but no poison ivy right in that spot, lol). I hope to go back & make a salve with what I harvest. Does anyone else have experience using it or making a salve to use? Any tips? I hear fresh is best with this plant.

Oxymel or not?
Yesterday I watched the Kami McBride video on making, original ginger ale. Trotted out to the garden and dug myself some. Cleaned etc and put through juicer. Grabbed a jar, 1/2 honey, 1/2 ginger juice, shook etc. Now I just have to change over the soda stream gasser. So I had 100ml of ginger juice left over, what to do! So…

Hibiscus (is all hibiscus created equal?)
I have hibiscus growing but I have never seen my calyx turn red. The closest id I could get for species is Hibiscus moscheutos (based on picture and iNaturalist). Is this then not medicinal or useable for teas?
