Help Troubleshooting My Tomatoes...
Can anyone help me save my tomatoes!? I have been starting tomato seeds indoors for years and have never had a crop look so pathetic... These were started at the same time as the ones next to them, received the same lighting and treatment - everything. I do not know if it is just the variety (Oregon Star) or what...? Any…

Sweet Potato seeds?
I've always grown sweet potatoes from slips - this is the only method I've ever seen used. Recently, someone told me that you could plant them from seeds. Has anyone tried this? I don't think I've ever even seen a sweet potato seed!

Finally a great crop of chokos/chayotes
It has been a goal of mine to grow a crop of chokos. People have said "girl if you can't grow chokos, you should give the gardening caper away" Not to be deterred, this season I gave them another crack and I have succeeded. Only 1 choko vine but gee bloody chokos everywhere! Our favourite recipe is to poach chokos peeled…

Our old bed has nothing, the volunteers are non-existent and my new bed which seemed to hold a lot of promise has a few spindly stalks. If that was all, I'd think it was just…

Pak Choy
I'm new to pak choy but I placed a half dozen plants in this Spring and one of them I's swear is already going to seed (it's got a tiny little seed head coming up from the top center of the plant. It can't be from the heat, other than one day in the low 70's with no sunlight on it at all (since it is covered since we've…

What's wrong with my onions
I started Egyptian Walking Onions as a container project in the house. They are planted in new, organic potting soil inside a deep pot. Sunshine is mostly indirect. They started out strong, but now.... My research implies that the sets I bought came with a viral disease, or the previously unused soil was somehow…
