highly effective and safe as long as its a product that was made properly with the right sized silver molecules. I use it almost daily (we have a spray bottle in every room of the house. for anything from a eye, ear and sore throat to strep, skin infections or things like eczema or to prevent them topically on a wound, to cleanse surfaces , proven to inhibit Hep B and C viruses, medical tubing and doorknobs, fights against parasites and abnormal cell growth and supports oral health, kills mold, combats food poisoning, among many other things..I love my colloidal silver and I do make my own

Agree with Heather wholeheartedly! Colloidal silver is one of those things I pack in our bug out bags. : )

I have used colloidal silver a number of times. The latest was last month after some dental surgery, and the dental technician told me that my gum was healing nicely. Silver was used formerly before antibiotics became fashionable. In other words, it is an old remedy. The more recently available form, colloidal, is better than the old.

I use it occasionally for humans, but I really don't think about it because I use herbs for most things. But I swear it kept one of my chickens alive for years. Every winter she would internally lay after moulting and winter rest. The first year I took her to a vet and gave her antibiotics and said my goodbyes. When she got sick again after the antibiotics wore off, I couldn't just do nothing so I used silver, electrolites and a few antimicrobial EO's - this really was just a hail mary pass. She recovered after about 2 months. I didn't expect her to lay again or for her to last much longer - but she did both. Every year Graine' would get sick (regardless if I started early) and recover. I started supplementing her early and treating her faster each year and she lasted another 3 years, happy and laying - she even went broody one year.
I should use it more for the family, have to remember to.

Thanks for the input. My husband and I used to make it and then we stopped.
We are considering starting up again just as an extra level of cold/flu prevention. -
For those of you making it? How hard is it to make it right? And how do you know you've done it correctly?

you can use a laser to measure the tyndall effect or measure the PPM / TDS of the water before and after (depending on the size of your silver molecules

Silver is a great antibiotic, many studies to back it up as well. As mentioned above the particle size does matter. It needs to be small. When making it yourself, do your research to see what your generator is capable of and what the best particle sizes are for your particular application. I would use a colloidal silver product internally for a short time and topically as needed. A nano particle silver would be much safer internally as a long term remedy. It is eliminated from the body in about 24 hours for most people. And then there is the homeopathic version which would be dosed according to homeopathic protocol. We use silver on wounds, for mouth issues, as a preventative and a treatment.

I always keep some on hand. I've used it successfully to get rid of toenail fungus and recover from feeling ill. Its also been the most effective treatment for orf (a viral disease) in lambs that I've found.

I've used colloidal silver for a few years now and find it exceptional.
I use it for myself, family and animals. Great for so many things. A couple of drops will heal an eye infection. Used it to disinfect a cut. I've gargled it and then swallowed it when I've had a sore throat. Sometimes I wake up feeling dreadful...some sort of virus, so will take a few mils morning and night, works a treat. I always have some in the house and a small amount in the DIY medicine kit in the car.
I've not tried to make it myself.
