Tonsillitis in a child

everything I've posted is safe for use in children, not sure what you have on hand so I put a lot of things in the response :)

This is what I've used on my daughter..she was a little older and was not picky as to the taste of things though. teaspoon of Manuka honey with cayenne pepper coating it (i sprinkle the cayenne on the spoon then let anything loose fall off its hot but highly effective) (she had huge tonsil stones that afternoon, the next morning they were gone) Manuka honey is both anti bacterial and anti viral

also sage tea with fresh lime juice for a gargle and to drink

Homemade elderberry syrup works fantastic and is SUPER YUMMY
heres my recipe
Ingredients

2/3 cup dried black elderberries, or 1 1/3 cups fresh or frozen
3½ cups water
2 TBSP fresh or dried ginger root
1 tsp cinnamon powder or 1 cinnamon stick
½ tsp cloves
1 cup raw or Manuka honey (manuka honey is a little stronger)

Instructions

Pour water, elderberries, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves into a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour until the liquid is reduced by almost half.
Remove from stove, let cool until it is cool enough to be handled.
Mash the berries carefully using a spoon or other flat utensil.
Pour the mixture though a strainer into a glass jar or bowl.
Discard the non liquid material, liquid cool to lukewarm.
When it is no longer hot, add the honey and mix well, don't add honey while its still hot it will evaporate off the anti bacterial and anti viral properties of the honey.
pour the syrup into a quart sized mason jar or 16 ounce glass bottle of some kind. store in the fridge. I usually make some in October for those just incases and it stays for about 6 months

chicken bone broth will keep him hydrated AND support his immune system while killing the infection, and it is simply good and tasty

Pineapple extract/bromelain

CBD oil is a great antibacterial, anti inflammatory

licorice root tea with ginger (you could also make lozenges with some manuka honey too)

slippery elm, marshmallow, sage, echinacea and burdock root are all great wound healers great remedies for tonsillitis and can be added to tea or lozenges

sore throat syrup
Pour 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin coconut oil in the skillet.
Add 3 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Also, add ¼ cup of raw honey.
Mix these together and warm them on low heat. You just want the ingredients to melt and blend, do not cook for too long and don't heat too much , let cool and store in a glass jar.

also if you want to be adventurous
ingredients:

80g of Black or Cumin Seeds
250ml of Filtered Water
1 Tbsp Cognac of Whiskey
Directions:

Pour 200ml of water for the seeds and let boil for 15 minutes. The solution should be black and thick and textured like wet coffee grounds.
Strain mixture and add 50ml of water. Bring back to a rolling boil.
Add the 1 Tbsp or Cognac or Whiskey
Take 1 Tbsp every 30 minutes. Relief should be felt within two hours, and all symptoms should be gone within 4 hours.

another remedy is simply fresh lemons..you could make fresh lemon juice mix with some water and honey to taste and sip
another good immune booster and healing would be to boil the lemons for about 5 minutes in water..then take a dish towel soak it in the lemon water..lay the towel down put the lemon slices on one side and fold over..apply this to the throat like a compress..vitamin C directly to the place its needed :)

if he can gargle..colloidal silver is great

OH, oil of oregano (not oregano essential oil) 1 drop in a glass of water is all he needs (1 drop NOT 1 dropper) a few times a day (funny story my 18 year old was not feeling great a few months ago i left him a note "take 2 drops of oregano oil in your water" he used 2 dropper fulls! said it was horrible but he was better in a few hours lol)

I should have also added with all that antibiotic use he needs probiotics given at least 2 hours before or after an antibiotic if he is still on them.
