Purebred milking shorthorn cow & bull

LaurieLaurie Posts: 513 ✭✭✭

Located in Manitoba, Canada

• Rare papered purebred milking shorthorn. Five years old. Hand milked. Safe for children to learn to milk. No kick.

Has had a total of 3 calves, two while at our farm. Calved easily.

Straight back, large udder. Attractive brindle type color. Never tries to get out of the fence.

When we first bought her she was giving 30 litres/day. She is currently giving 15 litres once a day.

Selling because we don't have enough growing pasture to feed her & our others.

• Milking shorthorn bull available as well. No longer needed. Born to the cow 2 years ago.

Wow! sounds like some great animals. 15 L per day is a lot of cheese 🧀

YES! so stoked I found a good emoticon. LOL@Ruth Reyes-Loiacano are you proud?

@Marjory Wildcraft You are correct. 😀

We almost had a buyer for the bull. The daughter loved the milking shorthorn. She worked for a dairy that had them. She was trying to get her parents to buy. Too bad for us...they decided to cross their milk cow with beef instead.
