A 2012 study published in the journal of Applied Phycology, revealed that spirulina supplementation can slow HIV progression.

A large study of 169 HIV infected people was performed in Cameroon, Africa. In this study, spirulina was not given to half of the participants. The rest of the subjects involved were given 10 grams per day for a year!. And the results were unbelievable.
