    @shllnzl Thank you for sharing. It's an interesting article.

    My brother and I have used old yogurt along with other foods after we dug a hole to heel in trees that we had purchased but knew we wouldn't have time to transplant for a while. The trees not only survived the months but also thrived. We also added Organic Oat Groats, Blackstrap Molasses, Organic Kelp Meal, Organic Banana peels, and one or two other things.

    I assume that powdered whey could be used in the same way. Some fertilizers that are sold come in both a powder and liquid form. A powder may be more likely to be used as a side dressing for plants or added to an area.
