Baker Creek and Turtle Tree Seed. I am making plans!
-
First one, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds arrived last week. Felt like I did as a kid when the Sears catalog came. Winter Solstice tomorrow, the days will be getting longer minute by minute and planting time will be here before we know it.
-
Why is it called solstice?
The word “solstice” comes from the Latin word “solstitium,”a combination of sol, which means sun, & stitium, which means to stop. The latter word refers to the sun appearing to briefly stop moving at the moment winter arrives,
and
also at the moment summer arrives — which is why the start of summer is known as the summer solstice.

Yup! Baker Creek!
