Executive Assistant Who Loves Growing Food and Making Medicine

(the most fun and meaningful job you'll ever have)

The Grow Network is the online home of a global network of people who grow their own food, make medicine, and build community resilience. We are stopping the destruction of the Earth via "Home Grown Food On Every Table". We have a blog with daily posts, a store, forums, newsletter, and a learning membership area. http://TheGrowNetwork.com

Our company culture is of a team of rugged adventurers out to make a difference in the world. We are a distributed company with most of us based in Texas. Those with a life-attitude of being on an expedition in the back-country will like working in this environment. This is a full-time work from home position where you (mostly) determine your own hours and have your own equipment.

About you:

You are a person that knows you can work anywhere, but choose to work with us.

You're warm, professional, and detail oriented. You enjoy your role as the founders’ right hand and go to person. You thrive in a dynamic work environment where the only constant is change. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done. There’s no task too small and too large!

You’re highly organized, technologically savvy, and creative in your approach. Most importantly, you’re ready for a huge and exciting challenge and you can make an already amazing team even better.

About the role

Work closely with our founder performing a variety of duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

- Effectively and accurately manage calendars including scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements

- Manage correspondence (email and snail mail) including reading, prioritizing, distributing and developing appropriate responses

- Updating and maintaining the records in HighRise contact management database (you are a relationship manager fanatic)

- Develop materials for press kits, brochures, flyers, and other media (either you are good with graphics and layout, or have a good eye and know how to source it)

- Arrange interviews with media (podcasts, print, radio, etc.)

- Arrange and organize presenters for the Grow Network's two annual Summits

- Effectively and professionally represent The Grow Network to internal and external channels through appropriate and timely responses

- Handle some personal items for the founder, including bill pay, travel details, coordinating household service team, etc.

Minimum requirements

A passion for homegrown food and good health (you have a garden, and/or chickens, or you are growing some of your own food in some way).

5 years of experience in an executive assistant role in a highly pressurized and results-driven environment

Ability to effectively work with high level executives, famous people, and a variety of personalities

Exceptional writing, editing, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

You are a file-naming fanatic.

You 'get it' about keeping the CRM database updated and are relentless with relationship tracking.

Knowledge of and experience with Office365, Outlook coordinated company email and calendaring, HighRise, WordPress, Quickbooks, PayPal, and other web technology.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting at $54,000 annually as a W2 employee. When you and the company's performance merits it, we pay bonuses. Note that we do not have health insurance benefits as this is not a part of our value system.

We are looking for a full-time, long-term committed teammate and friend who wants to be part of our innovative and growing organization for many years to come.

Other benefits of working at The Grow Network include the following:

· Being surrounded on a daily basis by like-minded super-cool teammates who are passionate and creative about solving the world’s environmental and health crises by growing our own food, and teaching others how to do the same.

· Access to cutting edge information about sustainable food production via our published information and our partnerships with thought-leaders in sustainable small-scale food production.

· One-hour per day of working in your personal garden is considered legitimate company work.

· You’ll have access to free testing of great gardening, homesteading and health management tools and products, as part of our team review of products we sell.

· You’ll travel a few times per year (possibly more) to fun locations for team meetings, parties, and training workshops for personal and professional development.
