Grandchildren
Our granddaughter turned 2 a couple months ago. They live in a manufactured home with a bow window in the kitchen end. She's able to step up onto the ledge as it's about 6" tall. From there she is between the window and the curtain and can survey the great outdoors. She watches her aunt get on and off the school bus, watches Grandma and PaPa go to and come from work, and sometimes just watches nature.
Today it was just Daddy and her at home. He's trying to get the breakfast dishes cleaned up as she plays close by. After a few minutes he realizes she's not underfoot and turns to see the curtain moving. Thinking she's just looking out the window he gets a baking dish down to marinate the steaks he had defrosted for this evening's meal. Reaches for the steaks and the package is not there. Thinking he had set them on the other part of the counter he turns that way. Without even realizing it he says, "Baby, have you seen Daddy's steaks?" The curtain wiggles and their dog comes out licking her lips. Right behind him comes a grinning 2 year old with a steak in her hands. "Here Dad."
She had gotten them off the counter and fed all but one to the dog. 😂😂🤣🤣

Absolutely child like! Cute!
My husband and granddaughter wanted a snack. My 3 year old granddaughter wanted to make sure nothing hurt her grandpa. She yelled "stay away from g-pa" then tackled and disabled our original Robie Sr. robot just as it was approaching grandpa with the afternoon snack. After the robot stopped moving, she took grandpa's snack, sat down on the spot and ate it.
Children and food ;-)
