Fire Cider: Can I Use Prepared Horseradish?

I’m thinking of making a batch of Fire Cider. I can’t find fresh horseradish anywhere. Would this be an acceptable substitute?

I have wondered about that too. I can't get fresh here at all, I did check Amazon as I have ordered from there before and they do have some. What I ordered earlier this year was good and I got a nice batch of fire cider from it. Hope you find something that works for you.

I'm thinking that product would work.

I think I’m going to try it. I mean, anything has got to be better than nothing, right?

Just my guess, but if it's hot enough to make your sinuses run, I would think it's working. I'm having trouble finding fresh horseradish as well- the local stores have it sometimes but in dismal condition- so I've used wasabi powder. Note that most wasabi powders are mostly horseradish, which is what I wanted. I add when I take it, not to the whole batch. This is the brand I'm using. It doesn't have any fake ingredients, and a little goes a long way.
I got it at my local grocery store in the Asian foods section.
