Shade Cloth for Greenhouse

drpclarkedrpclarke Posts: 54 ✭✭✭

I would like to get a discussion around what type and what percentage of shade cloth to use for a greenhouse or garden. I recently built a greenhouse and it is already getting plenty warm when the temperature is 60 degrees outside. I don't want to lose any of my plants. Here is an interesting video comparing the types of shade cloth.

@drpclarke I've used 2, 6 and 10 degrees. I only like the 6 and 10 because the lighter weight the cloth, the faster it rotted.

I have also used the fabric off the bolt that toe sacks are made of...the name of the cloth evades me....hmmm more caffeine needed.

oh, Burlap lol It worked pretty good and doesn't rot so fast as some of the shade cloth I've used.
