After years of trying to get my husband over our crappy and useless lawn (other than the dandelions like it) I’ve finally gotten a small victory and he took out some of it and is going to plant some corn!!!!!! Green beans are next... bit by bit I’m wearing him down 😀

My goals are to convert this backyard into food and medics... I’m liking this type of raised garden and hopefully getting husband going in the right direction 🙏🏻🌸🥬🌽🥕🍉

Remember that corn is wind pollinated. If I remember correctly, I had my small patch as a square in the protected corner of my garden, hoping to keep the pollen from blowing away. I only got a small quantity of corn as the strong desert winds and lack of humidity worked against me.

Your garden is looking good. Hopefully your husband will see and taste the benefit of his involvement and will be more and more willing to help as time goes by.

Corn is also a hungry plant.

I look forward to seeing a picture of your results. 🥗

Good for you! My husband thinks I'm a little crazy for hating our lawn too. It may just disappear while he's at work, LOL. The pictures look amazing.
