When you purchase rubbing alcohol or witch hazel at the store please read and make sure you are purchasing the highest % of purity you can find.

Try to purchase 100% Witch Hazel and at least 75% alcohol, 93% is even better.

I was reading the packages at the big chain store and one was 48%. the first ingredient was water. Yes it was under a $1 but if I want to pour water on my cut I don't need you bottling it for me, and putting a fancy name to it. The witch hazel was also under 50% . Try to buy 100%, the other bottle had a whole bunch of names I have no idea what they are. Look for pure! You may pay a little more but think of it as the bottle of 100% can make 2 bottles if I added water DO NOT EVER ADD WATER TO IT but you get the idea (HOPEFULLY) if not I will get lots of nasty notes from people. Stay safe!

@bcabrobin Agreed. Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) must be at least 70% to be effective at sterilising equipment according to protocols. Place equipment or instruments in alcohol for 20 minutes and then let air dry.
