Here are a few myths about eggs.

I will add that:

•brown eggs are not any more healthy than white. Various breeds lay different colored eggs.

•The feed makes the difference between pale & yellow yolks. One of these sites claims that egg yolk color depends on breed too, but I have never run across this as being true in chicken circles.

•The white stringy thing (chalaza) is present to keep the yolks stable. It is not what the rooster "does."
