Informative article. I hope that by putting lots of leaves on my garden and just leaving them there for a few months has encourage the growth of mycorrhizae. I am making compost separately.

Mushroom Mountain has inexpensive spawn... some may have it cheaper, but I haven't seen any. Maybe you could use those leaves as mulch and grow some king stropharia/wine caps bewewen your garden rows? There is also a good product called Mykos (Xtreme Gardening Mykos Mycorrhizae (xtreme-gardening.com)) that is great for non-fruiting fungi.
