topical jewelweed and plantain tincture (?) for poison ivy
Does anyone have the recipe for this from the old Bulk Herb Store website? I think it was just jewelweed, plantain and alcohol. The new owners of the Bulk Herb Store don't seem to have any of the old recipes up.
I looked online but couldn't find quite was I was looking for.
We mainly used this prophlylactically when we might have been exposed to poison ivy. I think the alcohol would be key for that use.

I've only ever known of jewleweed to be used topically. I've seen salve recipes. I'll see if I can find one way or the other if it's safe to take internally.

@Mary Linda Bittle This was something we swabbed on whenever we thought we might have contacted poison ivy. I'm with you. Jewelweed is for external use, only. I put a question mark after tincture because I wasn't sure if that implied I was taking it internally.

I found this article, which has a jewelweed vinegar. I'd think plantain could be added as well.
