Greetings! New member here! 💚

Hi folks!
Greetings from not-so-sunny Seattle, my name is Mikaela, and I am a fairly new member (and even newer member of the TGN street team).
I have a huge love of growing veggies and herbs, however I moved back here from Florida so I'm having to 're-learn' how to grow some of my plants (and due to living in an apartment they are indoor plants, but still the climate and bugs are way different from FL). I am also a huge fan of biology, zoology, self-sustaining gardens and farms, gardening with kids(I have a 5 year old) and anything to do with nature/animals/the Great Outdoors.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things.

Hi again,
I thought I commented back, but clearly not. I have two questions regarding the TGN Street Team:
1) Are there any other responsibilities of the Street Team Member aside from the mandatory Forum contributions? (For instance, are we supposed to be monitoring the Forums for any trolls/spam/the like?)
2) The mandatory Forum contributions - are these to be all posts discussing a topic or can it be a question I ask (one meant to facilitate a meaningful discussion)? Should it be 7 posts or can it be 5 posts and 2 comments?
Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Hey, all
Boy, did I get a surprise in my email. I got selected to join the Street Team. My name is Pat, AKA RustBeltCowgirl. I live up on the North Coast, Lake Erie shoreline of Ohio. My interests include homesteading, gardening and learning a more self sufficient lifestyle. I'm (with my "pony") planning a relocation move in several years (retirement) to New Mexico.
Looking forward to diving in and playing.

Howdy! Nice to have you.
@mgray11 If you look at the categories at the right side of the screen, you'll see "Street Team". Click on there. You'll see a sticky post with Jimerson's face and "Street Team Expectations and FAQs".
-
Oh, in answer to number 2, it can be posts or comments.
-
Not seeing that category but could that be related to my profile showing me as still a member not Street Team?
-
Welcome!
-
Welcome new members! May you find the answers you seek and the questions you did not know to ask!
-
Welcome to all the new kids! We are so glad to have you here, as a new Street Team member or otherwise.
Please, jump right in!
For newly minted ST members, here is a thread you will want to post in first if the status in your profile is still only showing up as "member". Admin will work at getting that changed if they are made aware.

New here too! Glad to meet you!

@mgray11 Welcome!! I love Florida and would move the so quick if I could! But I'm sure that Washington will give you a great crop and a lot of nature! Looking forward to your posts! I enjoy growing herbs as well here in dry hot SoCal! It is a challenge with the wind (which recenly blew our corn down to the ground) and the 115 degree weather trying to fry everything up but I've had pretty good success and when you grow your own it so much more potent and fragrant!
