CBD Advantage

I wanted to share information about my recent CBD use. My hope is that others may learn from my experience and find it helpful.

Our veterinarian diagnosed my eleven year old German shepherd with liver and spleen cancer. His ultrasound revealed a large inoperable nodule on his liver and five smaller nodules in his spleen. I asked how many months I could hope to enjoy with him. The veterinarian looked at me, and and responded, "Months? No. Days." She added his pain, indeed, would be great. I left her office with medications, sufficient for ten days.

Needless to say, I did not want my best buddy suffering. I reached out, admittingly, with scepticism, to a friend who grows and processes CBD. Before I knew it, Thorne had a supply of CBD oil, in three forms. In specified amounts, I added the oils to Thorne's water, which he LOVED! I documented dosing and progress, as to some degree, Thorne was an experiment. Also, Thorne refused to eat anything, but for farm fresh eggs, so his diet changed, for the most part, to eggs. Sometimes, he agreed to meats being added to his eggs, but he far preferred egg omelets to any other food choice. The following are my general observations in short:

His cataracts disappeared, within two weeks. His muzzle returned to its original black colour. His German shepherd signature back black saddle returned to shinny black. His energy returned. He rested far less. Thorne had hip issues, but with the oil, he walked ;pts more (without a limp) and wanted to aid in chores again. His personality returned. He was super alert.

All that said, Thorne's results may not represent all results of CBD use. Likewise, his results do not create a promise of positive results. Surely and vividly, it did help him. He lived four months, seemingly with little to no pain. He passed very peacefully on 9 June. Based on Thorne's results, my mother began CBD for arthritis with very promising results and no side effects.

I do hope this helps you, as you consider aiding a pet or consider CBD oil use. Please do not consider this anything more than sharing information.

    So sorry to hear the sad news re your best mate, Thorne. CBD oil is awesome, I make my own. I make it for dad, he has painful arthritis and he reckons it works for him. I take it, my wife takes it, I squirt some on my dog Jedda's food. We are all healthy and my dog looks awesome. I just hope it becomes legal in Australia very soon. Then I could buy from a reputable source and know exactly what's in it! We certainly don't get "high" from it. I take it as a health tonic, along with other supplements.

    @jodienancarrow I hope CBD becomes legal there too! In my state, it is a tad complicated, but it is legal. I bought some CBD from large company. I needed an entire dropper full to equal just drops of the CBD I purchased from my friend. It really is a health tonic, in many ways!

    For those of you in areas where it is not legal and/ or hard to access or simply too expensive to try, you might consider looking into the Brazillian plant Copaiba (pronounced Coe-Pie-ee'-bah). I use it in the form of therapeutic grade essential oil from DoTERRA. It acts on the exact same biological pathway as CBD. and it's MUCH less expensive with a guaranteed potency. {Some CBD products dont actually contain much CBD, unfortunately}

    CBD is to hemp what beta-caryophelene is to Copaiba. search it for yourself.

    Hope this is useful.

    @valizona hi there and welcome. When I make my hemp oil, I add frankincense, tumeric, copaiba, oregano and black pepper EO to it. I just figure if I'm going to put some under the tongue, I may as well go for "bang for my buck" immune system, brain function, aches and pains etc.

    I have an elderly dog. She has multiple issues and I feel she could benefit but she's only 15 pounds. Is there a recommended dosage by weight?

    Just got some from a local organic farm That grows their own hemp. Suffer from chronic pain and constant severe headaches. Just started taking it and seems to be helping me. Plan on continued use and logging my results. Good luck and hope your use continues to improve your life also. Stay safe.

    jodienancarrow i like your thinking. I am the same way. I'd also like to point out that Roman chamomile essential oil has proven itself to be powerful for nerve pain, I've used it recently with tooth pain and on someone's leg that got in the way of a chainsaw.

    I make comfrey salve with similar ingredients, depending on who I'm making it for. Lemongrass oil is particularly good for healing connective tissue. I was sure to include that for ny friend who had shoulder reconstructed.
