Launder with Ivy instead of washing powder/liquid

I'm so inspired, I took some cuttings today of our one remaining very small ivy and will grow some more plants. They don't grow rampant in our soil, so I'm not worried about it becoming a weed. I do remember huge ivy areas in my childhood in Germany.

Hello @Marjory Wildcraft . So nice to hear from you! I have already read your book and want to try out other plants, which you mention. A very useful book.
the ivy I use for laundry is also called English Ivy, but it is Hedera. It is also called European ivy. I do not know whether it grows in America. I think it would as it is a very robust plant.
Epipremnum aureum is a beautiful plant, but it is poisonous for animals and a bit poisonous for people. I would not use it.
I googled also phytolacca Americana. Looks like it is also poisonous. A very nice thing about all the herb experiments that one learns so much about plants and new plants as well. I watched your video about lawnmower 😊

@Brueck.iris I am sure you will succeed in growing it. It needs shade.

Wow, I have ivy all around my house. Thank you for sharing this info!
