Sage has been a standard in my garden for years. I forage so my beds are a mix. Nasturtium, Violets, Roses, and the last 3-4 years I've actually had Mullein. (A wild plant showed up in my neighbors hedge and i transplanted it, it has gifted me since) I planted Lemon Balm years ago and its everywhere now, worth the invasion as we mow the scent is wonderful. Another possible mistake was Black Raspberries. They too are out of control but i use the berries and leaves. There are so many great ideas and if they don't work out, you have the experience and the harvest to experiment. No fails, just knowledge.
