@Mary Linda Bittle I haven't had a chance to look at it in it's entirety, but I sure like the way you handled your 'interview'.. a wise way to show your savvy..

I just read to 'your tracking story' so going off here to finish reading and look into this for myself. I am an outdoors woman from the go and to me there is no where better than living in the country, woods, fresh air, all of Gods creation...some I might not be able to out run lol.....Have you ever seen a cougar in the wild? I saw a young one once when I was bow hunting and what a treat it was..It even made noises as it trotted along its way..

Thank you for a great change of scenery, and revitalizing story. I'm proud of you !!!

@silvertipgrizz l've not seen a wild cougar, but have come upon fresh tracks.Pretty sure I've been seen by several. What a gift to have seen one!

Our classes were always 15-30 people, so we never snuck up on anything.

Years ago, while deer hunting, I had a bobcat sneak up behind me. The wind was in my favor, and I heard it coming in, but thought it was a squirrel! I turned my head, and it was slipping into the underbrush not 5 feet from my back!

@silvertipgrizz , whoa, from your back, is much better than on your back! Your awareness paid off - you could easily have thought, "a squirrel, why bother looking". But your gut said differently, what a close call. Keep up the good work, fantastic job!

@Mary Linda Bittle you may see cougars in your area. They are there and the conservation department had to acknowledge that in the mid to late 1990's.
