OH that's really cool! I haven't done any of the certification courses yet. I'm barely able to keep up with Forums at the moment, sadly. Maybe I'll try to get into the goat course. I did some goat training when I was at the Farm at Rutgers, but that's been so long ago.

I know, this is the first course that I am actually going through the whole thing!
-
This is so timely! We are planning to add goats, but don't know much about them. This will be so helpful.
-
Good for you probinson50!

this is perfect timing for me. I am being tempted by a new friend to round out my homestead with dwarf nigerian goats. I really must learn more before I decide. Great!
-
Has anyone else started the course? What have you learned so far? I'm so happy for you solarnoon.aspen!

That is so exciting! I grew up next to a goat farm and some of my most precious memories occured in the field with those happy, skippy delights. There were a few head butts too haha. I have wanted to raise goats for a long time. This is a course I can get excited about!
-
So excited about this! CNt wait to get a fence up.

I'm really pumped to start this course! I've kept a small herd of Nubians for about 6 years now... LOVE THEM!!!!! (sorry for shouting... we Nubian fans get excited about our girls! LOL) Goats are a l-o-n-g learning curve, so I'm sure I'll find new knowledge and expertise in this course!

Welcome to TGN @spanthegulf! Glad you were able to find something in the Academy to peak your interest. Once you have done this course, I'm sure you will find others to interest you as well.
-
I love it! Yeah I think nubians and nigierian dwarfs are my favorites!

This is great. My wife and I were just talking tonight about goats. We range from a few cattle to chickens, but have always wanted to add goats. Especially two of my sons. Once we met some farmers with Nubian's, my sons were hooked! I must admit, I didn't know that goats could be soft!
Thanks to this thread for bringing it to my attention!

Thomas you're welcome!
