Anyone involved with any community gardens in Houston?

Hey y'all,

So I'm a native Texan, I've been away for like ten years and I travel quite a bit.

Anyway, I grew up in Corpus and Dallas. Now I live in Houston - so I don't have a strong community connection here as my family in Houston lives in the burbs (I'm near downtown)...

They just cut 3 trees down at my complex and I have this strong feeling of I NEED TO GROW!

Please point me in the right direction?

I wish to see tons of plants and food on all these highrise balconies.
