Has anyone here built a rocket stove or uses one?

My furnace has broken for the 4th time - same problem. I have set up temporary heat but if there is a chance and time I would like to ge a rocket stove in. I like those that have a bench and take up a cornar. I do have a place one will work I just need to get a design and see how how long it will take. We are heading in to our cold season.

I do have a wood stove/coal combination stove I could use but if I am not home i cannot expect my mother to tend to it. A rocket stove being so efficient I could leave home and not worry.

I've been thinking about building a type of Rocket Mass Heater for an outdoor oven, actually. I haven't gotten past the "thinking about it" stage, though.

@Angel I am rounding up materials and will attempt to build one. I really want ther lasrger ones but will try a small one first for outdoor use to see how it works.

I have not attempted adding photos her but will as I proceed

I had the SilverFire Rocket Stove for about 10 years now and its a very efficient stove. More of a camping stove but i've fired it up at the house for grins

I can only second @Angel and @flowerpower * head over to www.permies.com for rocket mass heater. Paul Wheaton is the one with the most experience as far as I can tell.
