Natural Deworming?

So I found out that at least one of my kittens has worms. I'm fairly certain it's tapeworms. I will go the medication route if I have to, but I want to try something natural first. I've read a few different remedies online(parsley tea and ground pumpkin seed are ones I keep coming across), but I wondered if any of you has experience with this?

Thanks @Denise Grant and @monica197 . I ground up some pumpkin seed, mixed it with a little nutritional yeast, and sprinkled it on all their food. They accepted it just fine.

DE also works as a dewormer as monica197 mentioned. I use that too.

@Denise Grant I do have DE, but I'm hesitant to try it, as they are accepting what I'm giving them now. I'll check it out.

Saw a live worm yesterday coming out of the kitten yesterday. It was definitely moving. Do you think that means this is working or not?

@blevinandwomba I would expect the worm to be dead if whatever you were using was working. :(

I was going to suggest plantain tea, but cats are fussy and I doubt it would drink it. Did you ask Doc Jones on his forum at homegrownherbalist?

@monica197 Plantain leaves should be perfect for rabbits!

Have you looked into pumpkin and pumpkin seeds? They are natural de-wormers and considered safe for cats. This pager tells a lot about the benefits of pumpkin. If you scroll down the page a bit there is a paragraph about de-worming.

Update: I upped the dose of pumpkin seeds, and continued giving it for another week or so. I saw no more sign of worms. So far so good.

I've mixed mimosa pudica seed with my cats food and he's eaten it without having any idea it was mixed in. Worked well. I already had the capsules so I just opened them and added a little at a time.
