Thanks, Betony is a very useful herb. It also has sedative and muscle relaxing properties.

I think it's a lovely plant. I've grown it for years, but never used it. Thank you for the information. I'm going to give it a go.

Well, Walafrid's betony verse is certainly enthusiastic, and very interesting for the range of uses and ways of taking the plant he suggests....but it still doesn't top the pennyroyal verse that takes us from Frankia to Byzantium to Heaven and back again. He really outdid himself on that one....
