Plants protecting themselves from humans
Came across this and thought it was interesting--a plant evolving to protect itself from human over-harvesting! This is in China, but I wonder if there are any comparable examples here?

Wow! Very interesting article. Don't know of any similar chameleon-like plants in my area.

It makes so much sense. Plants adapt to predators. Which are generally herbivores. In this case it's people. I wonder if it's also a part of selection.
The bright green plants don't get to reproduce as often, because they are harvested.
I wonder if the researchers noticed a gradual change? I think it said the study ran 7yrs.
Hmmm, what other plants may be doing...?

Very interesting but I don't believe that plants are specifically protecting themselves from humans. I believe that everything was put on this earth by God for the use/enjoyment of people. Plants, animals, resources etc are all here FOR humans.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it! 😁
