I guess I am pathetically out of touch!
I opened my email this morning and found one from a retailer with the subject, "Deals on Apple devices!". Wow! Maybe I can get another peeler, or a food mill! I did realize that the email wasn't about food prep before I opened it, but I noted how far gone I am. One of my girls told me, "Mom, you left 'normal' behind so long ago that you don't even recognize it anymore!" I think she may be right. That's okay. I really could use a new food mill, though. :o)

Hahaha! Meanwhile I’m obsessively reading reviews and trying to decide between a tablet or notebook of the electronic apple variety.

lol

I'm right there with you @Gail H. My daughter asked me the other day if we had the crank phones when I was a kid. Lol

LOVE it.

One of my nieces loves to come to our little Homestead in Progress. I taught her to drive the tractor and use the 4 Wheelers for work, to change a tire, to shoot and clean a gun safely and responsibly, to use power equipment and a Construction Speed Square and to manage a garden! She was and is a good learner and loves out lifestyle...BUT she laughs at us because of me and Mrs Slippy's lack of knowledge on Apple devices!
So then she goes to college and calls me one day out of the blue to THANK Ol Uncle Slippy for teaching her stuff! Then she goes on to tell me that most of the girls in her dorm cannot change a tire and some have never even filled their gas tanks with gas and most don't know where food comes from other than the grocery store!!! If you can believe that!
Now, she wants to bring her friends to our our place and us teach them the skills she now values! Funny how things come around!

"Apple devices" Haha that's awesome. Don't apologize! The fruit had the name first! ;-)

That is awesome!! I cannot wait to get that far away from technology!!

@dottile46 My answer would have been yes. When I first moved to the region I live in, in the 70's, there were still crank phones in use in the outlying areas. Can't remember the date they got dial phones. In northern BC there were still open wire lines that had the party-line system up until 2001.

I personally would want an apple peeler than an apple phone, I am not sure why there are so special but then I do not have cable TV nor a microwave, hahaha.

Speaking of Apple computers, check out this update on the current value of Forrest Gump's fictional (and unknown actual amount) $100,000 investment in Apple stock. It would now be worth $48.6 Billion, which would make him the 22nd richest in the world today.
