Quinoa

I was given a lot of Quinoa from a neighbor who grew it. I plan to grow ewnough to harvest it although I hear its a bit challenging to harvest.

I have read about it but really have no idea how to use it.

Does anyone use Quinoa and have a recipe to share? Thank you

Our households go to is quinoa and pretty much always have some cooked in the fridge. We add it to almost everything that needs a bit of extra. Like leftover soups and casseroles.

My favorite method of cooking is the instant pot. Put one cup rinsed quinoa in the Instant pot with 1 and ½ cup water, ¼ tsp salt and 1 tablespoon oil. Cook of one minute, let release pressure for 10 minute and then release pressure manually. Quick sir and it's ready to eat.

I love quinoa too and I use it in place of rice or other grains especially when I need protein in a dish.

@Denise Grant you can basically substitute quinoa, for most other grains. I do a quinoa tabbouleh salad when I have gluten free friends for bbq or a quinoa, pumpkin and baby spinach salad. Sometimes instead of rice with a curry, quinoa is a nice change.
