Azure Foods

I was researching organic alfalfa pellets and stumbled upon Azure a site to bulk order organic and non-GMO products. Has anyone used this site?

We used them several times. At first it was through a local restaurant that would combine everyone's order with their own, but after a few times of having them forget to order something for themselves and just keeping something I had ordered, I stopped. Then found another drop site group that you placed your order directly with Azure. That was much better. Unfortunately, the couple who ran that one decided to move. Now the closest drop site us over an hour away. I don't order enough quantity or often enough to start my own drop site. The couple that did it here for awhile often had issues with folks not paying their share of the shipping costs.

Thanks. We have a few drop sites near us. I haven't done much price comparing to Costco, but Azure seems to have a nice variety of items that we use (e.g. brown rice, etc.).

@Acequiamadre Melissa K. Norris referenced Azure on one of her podcasts sometime with in the past 3 months. Can't remember which one.

The prices we got when we were buying there were pretty good and they had several items we could not get locally. We were not able to purchase things like fresh foods or frozen things as the shipping was not adequate to assure the foods quality if and when it got to us. There were many items that we were glad to be able to get through them.

@Acequiamadre I use Azure regularly and love it. I can't eat gluten so I have to buy all the kinds of flours I use to make my own baked goods and that can get expensive. So Azure has saved me a ton. I mostly buy pantry items. But I have tried out some of the other types of items. Because I live in South Carolina it has to travel across the country so some produce isn't as fresh when is arrives from California. Not sure where you are however they are planning of having a place over towards the New England area so that they can service the whole country. They are still working on that currently.
