Using an empty wall for gardening
Here's a cool article about vertical gardening.
Hmmm, that empty wall in the dining room with grow lights in a track lighting system.

@RustBeltCowgirl I have often looked at doing something like that. I'm just afraid I would end up with a ruined wall and no "crop"!
I must say, the pictures look awesome!

Cool. I use 3-liter drink bottles and hang them on the wall. There are some strawberry plants waiting for me to get around to planting them in their new home on the wall.

@RustBeltCowgirl putting it in the dining room, wonderful idea! I might have to steal it.
@Tave I like the idea of the drink bottle. I'm assuming you cut part of it off? How do you set that up?

@Michelle D, These are 2-liter bottles, and I've since taken them down because they dry out too fast. The holes for the plants are too big, and the water runs out before soaking in. So on the next batch, the holes were cut smaller. The 3-liter bottles are a little too heavy, so I'm trying to figure out a better solution. As soon as I get them up, I'll post a picture.

Love the idea. A little hesitant to try it because of potential damage to floor/wall while I go through the learning curve.

They are outside where everything is brick and concrete, so no worries about damaging anything. If the floor were wood, I wouldn't do it.

Some of those look like really cool ideas. I do enjoy wood working.
