Sweet Woodruff
I have a lot of Sweet Woodruff in my front yard. It's where I plan to put new raised bed gardens so it has to be moved. Its also never been one of my favorite plants although it makes a nice ground cover.
I know it had herbal uses but it has quite a few edible uses too. I just found this site https://www.theomaway.com/sweet-woodruff-plant/

So I will be keeping some (it does spread) to use and potting up some to sell. This plant is not one of my favorites to repot. Its a tender difficult one that looks horrible for the first week or two. If You plan to sell it , it needs potted up when its young. So now is a perfect time.
Who uses Sweet Woodruff here?

While digging up sweet woodruff I also had to move some Ajuga and found Garlic Mustard. which I harvested and prepped to make fresh pesto for this evening

Well, I have grown sweet woodruff, but I don't think I ever used it. I read somewhere that dried smells different from fresh, somewhat like vanilla. I left some to dry, and my mom found it, figured I'd forgotten about it, and threw it out. Why I never tried again, I don't know.
I cooked with garlic mustard for the first time last year- that stuff is seriously good!

@blevinandwomba Its nice that Garlic mustard some some use. Here it is a serious invasive but I use a lot so that helps
What all did you create with garlic mustard? I owuld think you could dry it and use it as a spice in a blend
-
@blevinandwomba I have had that happen to me before, I bring in something to dry and it gets tossed, "Oh, I thought it was a weed and you laid it down and forgot it"

I have some in a pot. I intended it for something specific however with all the packing and getting ready to move my notes/books etc. are MIA. 😏
So it'll stay in the pot until we are moved and I can find out why I bought it in the first place.🤦♀️

Yes @monica197 they love shade and really grow well there, almost too well. They also do well under Rhododendrons, which many plant so not.
They can spread so a sunny locations slows that down. I don't worry about the spreading myself. They don't seem to get carried away here.
@JennyT it should do well in a pot.

@Denise Grant I'm pretty sure I made pesto too. I actually remember my impression of the taste more than what I made. It made me think of a mild broccoli raab or arugula taste, with a hint of garlic. Makes sense as it's a brassica, but I was expecting it to be harsh. I think later in the season it was.

@blevinandwomba I will have to give that a try
