I love this time of year - Discovery time
There seems to be a very small time span where I live where plants just begin to sprout and suddenly they are buried alive with grass and other growth.
Yesterday and today I see all kinds of plants coming up I thought I had lost or the marker broke.
I have a lovely Queen of the Prairie plants that the ground hog and chickens beat up last year. I found plants! I figured I would as they are really hardy. There must be about 75 small starts. I want to move a raised bed into this area so I will move them tomorrow
My rhubarb that I did not get planted is coming up so will be moved later today.
So its back outdoors to enjoy the weather, plant hunt and look for a run away rabbit.
Yep, just another boring day in the country ;)
Have you found any plants?

@Denise Grant I completely agree with you, early spring is in some ways my favorite time of year in that the Sun returns here and there are so many surprises out in the garden. This year I found trillium sprouting all over our garden, I think b/c we've continued to keep it organic and vital as we currently are looking after a garden at the edge of thirty acres and old forest. It's awesome all the surprises that float their way over to us and all we have to do is welcome the treasures to us by not using pesticides or poisons of any kind and trying to keep peace as much as possible:

@aprilbbrinkman I love trullium. I occasionally find a pink or purple one. In my area, when the trullium are out so are the morells.
-
Queen of the Prairie, I just love this plant
I also found my huge red bee balm patch that needs to be moved. I am moving some, sharing some and selling some

@Denise Grant Runaway rabbit? Oh no, not our favorite little girl, is it?
-
@RustBeltCowgirl Yes it is.
And I did find her after about 3 hours.
It was my fault she was loose but in a way it is a good thing. For her to do this means she is better. I put her outside while I was working and had to pop in for a minuter. A minute turned into a longer time and when I went out she eas no where to be seen. After about 2o minutes I saw her near the one chicken coop, 75 foot away from where she started. So I had my hands full and fed one group of chickens and she is gone - again!
I searched the back acre by the coops and yard for over an hour and went back in the house. In half an hour i was back out again calling for her and finally I saw her, tucked in a safe place. I only saw her because she was wiggling her ears.
She had stick tights on her but I got her and took her in. She slept very well after her adventure roaming the back yard with the chickens and ducks.
I have a new natural medicine fro her that will be here tomorrow. She has improved and is almost normal but I expect it to take more time and medicine or sorts for a bit.

@Denise Grant I know what you mean about finding plants! That has happened with me a lot this spring! I am so excitied!

@Denise Grant How's the little girl doing after her adventure the other day?
-
@RustBeltCowgirl She is doing. I am trying a new treatment for her and have an herbal mix I feed her that is supposed to help her issue.
She runs all over the house like a madman and she and the cat sit or lay side by side. She definitely has her energy back. I hear treatment can take 4 months to make sure its under control and some rabbits will need some sort of treatment every three months.
The cat would like to play with her but has not figured out how to do that.
She is more of a special needs rabbit or house rabbit at this time. I am training her to a litter box.
I may put her out in a 7 by 10 kennel I have if I think she will not get out. Too much stress looking for her and worrying.
I just love her personality. She follows my voice and will come (unless outside) when I call
