Fresh Herbs at My Backdoor

Today I slipped out between rain showers and snipped a few basil leaves, some rosemary, oregano, and thyme to add to my scrambled eggs at lunchtime. They were so good!
While having dried herbs on hand is an absolute necessity, I love going out and picking just what I need for the dish I am going to make.
What herbs are you using fresh from your garden today?

My roselle is just about done for, but when they have enough leaves to share, I love to throw a few in my salad.

I didn't use any today but I do have 2 kinds of basil, oregano, thyme, mint, & rosemary growing for us and catnip for our cats. I love being able to go out and pick some when I need it too.

I use basil most often out of my herb garden. Having those fresh flavors in cooking makes a huge difference.
I had been growing most of my herbs indoors. On Tuesday I cleaned out on old planter box that had some ivy growing in it near where I do my outdoor cooking. I transplanted several types of herbs out there. I hope to add a few more. I went out yesterday morning and something had eaten all of the basil! I'm so sad. I will have to figure out what it was, take measures and replant.

I love the flower bulb at the top of onions. They can be sprinkled over salad, tossed into a dish or just enjoyed by themselves. The onion won't grow as well as it would have without bolting, but I love them.
