Well, where'd YOU come from?
3 very dainty Japanese iris hiding in the weeds along the back ditch. Maybe Dad and the evil weedwhacker did me a favor and helped make these more visible. Wonder how they got there? I had no iris of any kind planted in the yard.

Bird probably dropped seeds. Are those a varirty of flagstaff Iris?
I love a plant find. It always makes my day

There are miniature iris- I've grown them- but I think they would bloom earlier. Here's some examples https://www.johnscheepers.com/flower-bulbs-index/rock-garden.html They're lovely regardless.
My first thought for how they got there was a squirrel transplant job, but the internet says squirrels don't like iris bulbs.

I need to put markers on them, so that they can be moved to a location where they can be better admired.

@blevinandwomba The coloring is identical to the Juno iris that is on your link.

@RustBeltCowgirl They are so dainty and so very cute.😍
I would love to come across some of the blue/purple ones that are on the site in the link you sent @blevinandwomba, those are gorgeous too.

@JennyT Upstate South Carolina for the record, I've never actually ordered from John Scheepers, I just knew they have a large selection of bulbs so I used them for a reference. I don't remember where I bought mine from..

@blevinandwomba No problem. 😉
I just love most any flower that's, that breathtaking blue/purple color.

@JennyT Upstate South Carolina This link includes the dwarf iris as well as reblooming. WARNING: have towel ready to control drooling.

Nice! I remember them growing wild in Ontario when I was a child.

I really love the soft color. What a great find. Thanks for sharing.
