    @silvertipgrizz thank you that is a wonderful article. I didn't realize that cattail had so many uses.

    I have just been reading about cattails on some other sites. Never have been able to harvest them. Getting through the grass to where they grow is hard for me as I have some fairly ferocious grass allergies. Yes, it does grow where I could get to it, but I don't like foraging in the ditch by the road.
