New Potatoes and Fresh Green Beans

Stopped at the local produce stand today and enjoyed some Georgia peaches, a handful of apricots, and came home with green beans and new potatoes.
Is there anything better than a simple old fashioned supper of fresh from the garden beans, potatoes, and onions seasoned with a little bacon and sea salt?

Yummy. So, are you officially "semi-retired" now?

Sunday was supposed to be my last day, but my replacement is on vacation, so I an working 12 hours on Wednesday and Thursday, and 6 on Friday. Then I'm done!

After Friday, I would tell them "Done" and you won't accept any more hours.

@Mary Linda Bittle, West Plains, Missouri sometimes fresh, simple ingredients are the best. No concoction of different flavours, just as they are. All the best for semiretirement.

@Mary Linda Bittle, West Plains, Missouri mmmm it sounds so tasty. I am already tempted to try digging out my first potatoes. I grow potatoes in high beds and search with my hands in the soil for the bigger ones. I take a few from the plant and leave the rest to continue growing. This is my way of starting eating my own potatoes very early.
