Three of my sesame seeds sprouted and it looks like I have pods forming. This is exciting.

Has anyone ever grown sesame before? When do you know they are ready to harvest?

I had never considered growing sesame so know nothing about it. But here is a link to info about growing sesame. Sounds pretty easy if you can give them the right conditions but not much reward for the work.

So it looks like they have to dry on the stalk then then you harvest

I can't wait to try them - they will make a wonderful topping for a loaf of bread or a salad.

I never even thought about growing sesame. I might try just to see what happens.

Sounds interesting, but probably not for my area. Think I'll have to keep buying my sesame seeds.
