Pistachios, I love em!

Besides walnuts, pistachios are my next favourite. So yummy and they look so good on baked biscuits, cakes, chocolate etc. Unfortunately I do not have the right climate to grow them and to buy organically is almost impossible. They are very expensive at the supermarket or whole foods store. I thought I’d post this link for anyone wanting to add them to their farm or homestead.

    I love them too. I'd never thought about growing them. I don't think I've ever seen organic pistachios. Every once in a while I'd buy a 1/4 pound of regular ones to shell and make pistachio crusted chicken...UNTIL...my husband helped me shell them. He was so busy watching football he put shells in with the nuts and I didn't realize it until we were eating the chicken!! My vitamix must have just ground the shells right on up. I haven't made that recipe since. 😁 Even funnier - he liked the chicken shells and all! I had to scrape the crust off. 😂

    Pistachios are definitely a favorite of my family. As most of you are, I'm not in the proper climate for growing them. 😔
