House Tea
An interesting article from Mother Earth News about a "house" blend tea. She talks about sourcing the ingredients from what is available on their property.
She didn't mention mulberry leaves, which I have in abundance. I had that in another discussion a while back.

I love learning about homemade blends for tea. I have been a tea drinker my whole life. But only within the last little while have I been straying from purchased blends and trying to create some of my own teas.
Thank you for sharing.

There is an herbalist in our community who makes a tea called Cariboo Gatherings. "Cariboo" is the general region we live in. So its not a "house" tea made from plants on your own property but a "regional" tea.

How does a person know if a "decaffinated tea" is the real deal?

@dipat2005 This is a pretty good article that explains the de-caffeination processes for tea.
But the decaf processes do not remove all of the caffeine. To be called decaf under current regulations, the product must have less than 2.5% of the original caffeine content. So decaf doesn't mean completely caffeine free.
Lots of herbal teas out there that aren't caffeinated to start with. These are other plants that contain caffeine in addition to coffee and tea. Yerba mate (or mate), cacoa, guarana, cola nut, guayusa and youpon. So if you are looking for a caffeine free herbal tea, avoid ones containing any of these herbs.

@torey Thank you for answering my question. As a general rule I don't drink tea but I have used corn silk tea.

This is such a fun idea! Imagine going to someones house and getting to try their version of house tea!

Great article @RustBeltCowgirl . I need to start trying a few blends with all the herbs that are on the property
