Pressure canning when you have a glass-top stove

It looks like pressure canners have come back into stock after being in very short supply last year. I'm interested in getting into pressure canning next year, so I'm doing my research now.

One limitation I have is the smooth glass top of my stove. It's generally considered risky to use a pressure canner on such a stove top, because the heat is higher than what the stove is designed for, and can crack the glass. This is an especially big problem right now when appliance repair and replacement can be hard to find.

So far I see two alternatives:

1) Buy a separate electric burner, like the GAU-80305 1100 watt electric single burner, and put a standard pressure canner on top

2) Buy an all-in-one electronic pressure canner like the Presto 02144 12 qt digital canner, which contains its own heating element

What other alternatives do people suggest?
