Happy Thanksgiving!

I know this is an American holiday, but I hope everyone has an opportunity to break bread with loved ones. If not tomorrow, then soon.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!
I remember missing ours, but getting to celebrate yours when I was down south. It was quite the celebration with a different array of traditional celebration foods than what we have (with exception of the turkey). I know stuffing recipes can greatly vary.
I was first introduced to sweet potato casserole at that time. 😋 It would be way too sweet for my tastes now. If anyone can post a less sweet version in the Recipes section, that would be great! I will start a thread asking for traditional American Thanksgiving food recipes. Maybe someone will find something new for them to try!

I like my sweet potatoes roasted with some good butter, a drizzle of local raw honey, and a dusting of cinnamon and cardamom.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans wherever you might be today. Hope you all get the chance to have a big meal with family and friends.

@Mary Linda Bittle, West Plains, Missouri and a happy thanksgiving to you. We don’t celebrate it in Australia but I do notice the Black Friday sales now a popular thing. I had to ask what it was about, not being the 13th and all. Turns out its been a thing in America after thanksgiving. Apparently it started in Philadelphia in the 50’s.

Happy Thanksgiving. I be skipping black Friday. I'm visiting my kids and grandkids. Much better.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I ate with the pilgrims this year! That has always been something I have wanted to do. What a nice experience.

I've sometimes thought that we in Vermont should really celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving instead of the American date, because the Canadian one lines up better with our harvest season! :-)

You could celebrate twice!
