@Marjory Wildcraft I think you will all have a blast. I think it would be great to take pictures of your team members all wearing one of the grow network T-shirts and then incorporate those pictures to appear where each person's picture is in the forums and other places. This will help us realize who we are writing too!

Also is it possible to have a total of three (maybe you already do this) fiscal meetings per year on financial planning and how we can implement that in our lives.

I was thinking, as I tend to do...a gardening mentorship program (I mentioned this to Merin a whole back with a link to a site that could be used to pattern after...she should have lots of suggestions from me that cover a variety of other areas too, lol), a more robust TGN ambassador program, a monthly call in program for members, a community favorites recipe book (series, not just taken off the site, but collected otherwise), a community calendar (run a contest, members only), PDFs of important things (like emergency lists, monographs using Judson's herb summaries, or anything else that can be put into an important printable form). These could be in the store or be made available otherwise.

I think other suggestions have been made on here many times. The Skills List may also hold some ideas. I didn't check it out.

A thought on the call in program, one podcast that I listen to regularly has the host speak on a specific topic for 20 minutes, then they open up the rest of the hour for calls from listeners.

The host is not one to give personal opinions, which keeps open dialog. This shouldn't be a huge problem with a "growing your own" foundation.

These questions don't just stick to the topic of the podcast, but could be anything connected to the mission of the organization. It is really enjoyable, I look forward to it, I learn a lot (even if I don't always agree), and it brings in lots of new followers.

You would need a person (or two...it could be a team) who can listen, comment well, is respectful, be able to graciously curb people who chatter on or like to push opinions, and one who is knowledgeable.

The host introduces themselves, shares about upcoming events, then does his talk. They have a few breaks here & there for their own ads of other programs, events & resources.

Another version suggested was to have a zoom-type call in time on occasion with members, like you might do an office meeting.

Back before I had to move cross country and take a 12 hour day job, I had started a tutorial on making pine needle baskets. I have fully retired now, and have the project half completed. I'd be interested in finishing it up for you.

Go on a tour of @Marjory Wildcraft gardens, virtual is nice yet in person gives a more hands on experience. And then questions may arise as well as conversations and a sense of community. Perhaps people would be interested in a new venture bringing them outdoors more so than to their own garden/s

How to find land and live off grid I think is of great importance at this point in time.

Poss add more topics for new discussions regarding info for:

water wells, privacy on your homestead, ie the layout such as how deep in the woods, or how close to a stand of trees....

how to live without electricity, but a huge benefit for any like me who have no idea how to set up a battery pack, do solar cells all as back up or to live a life off grid without having to be so concerned as to the next world manipulation of our grid... and so on.

I'm open to everyone's ideas so I can learn to be totally off grid, yet close to like minded people.

also, I am reading your book and very much enjoying it....It's been a very bad year for me and that is why I am late in reading it. I Pre ordered it and hope to finish reading it in the next couple of weeks..still lots of yard to prep for winter planting etc, so thank you for writing it for us.

Herb Rally just sent out an email titled "Ask an Herbalist". A monthly TGN show could feature our forum & other favorite herbalists one month, and then...

You could change this up monthly by adding another subject, "Ask a Gardener", "Ask a Breeder", "Ask a Farmer," etc., and feature one or more folks experienced in each subject chosen.

OR...have a few of each present for each show, as a panel, to answer questions relating to their passion/specialty.
