Fresh homegrown dinner

I know this seems so simple to many on this forum but I was so pleased when I realised what I’d done. The other night I was looking to make an easy dinner. I decided on pasta with a vegetable sauce. So I cooked down some onions, chilli, preserved lemon & garlic in olive oil, then added eggplant & mushrooms. I then added zucchini, okra & beans. I’d made some pesto with parsley & mustard greens late winter, so that went in at the end of the cook. When I was stirring before serving, I realised that everything except the mushrooms & eggplant came from my garden! I reckon it tasted so much better knowing that.
