You had better get someone to make you that cake. It looks super tasty!

It is mid-winter & snowy here of course...no watermelons in sight, except for shipped tasteless seedless ones that taste like cardboard.

Watermelons are one of my absolute favorites and something I craved (yes, mid winter) with most of my pregnancies. That was brutal. I only wish I knew about watermelon popsicles at that time.

You bet I'll be trying to remember to make this cake for no reason at all this summer, @JodieDownUnder. Actually, there is one birthday...but I'm sure we will have to do something with icing for that one. Maybe we will have to do TWO cakes. 😋

Awww @JodieDownUnder and everyone else! Yes @LaurieLovesLearning I too craved watermelon during my pregnancies... strange huh? Yeah my hubby was so good at finding watermelon in December... but we were in TX which is a tad bit easier.

We had a totally fab plant and seed swap party yesterday - so much good foo, good people, and good fun.

And my daughter sent me this crazy gift which looks super cool for harvesting. They fit on your thumb (or other fingers) and make pinching off stems super easy.
