Seeing Beauty In Places Others Don't

I saw these dried hydrangeas still on my bush the other day. I just hadn't gotten around to clipping them off yet. I saw new buds forming so I finally clipped them all and thought how beautiful! So, I brought a bunch inside to put in a jar on the table. My daughter wanted to know why I brought old dead flowers inside. 🤔 She did not find them beautiful.
Anyone else see something as beautiful that others don't?

Lovely! Perhaps you have to have some life experience to see beauty where others cannot.

@Mary Linda Bittle, West Plains, Missouri I agree with you.
The variegated coloring and intact petals is stunning.
-
I also agree. It is beautiful.
@kbmbillups1 I love your perspective!

What a great reminder that just because we have lost the beauty of our youth does not mean we no longer have our own beauty and value. Thank you for sharing.

Love the color and texture. It is definitely art in nature.

@kbmbillups1 I still have a dried flower arrangement from 20+years ago. I dust it once in a while and it is showing its age, but I still think it's beautiful.

@kbmbillups1 Dried flowers add pizzazz to the room they’re in. Perhaps they remind os the next season is approaching, there could be poetry in dried flowers. They allow our imaginations to develop new ideas. Creativity

@kbmbillups1 thank you for sharing. The flowers from hydrangeas here turn a yellow color. Yours is pretty!

@kbmbillups1 Technically, even the freshly cut flowers are dead. This one is dried. Dried flowers are used in many beautiful decorations. 😄

Oh, yes. It is beautiful.

@kbmbillups1 I so agree with seeing beauty in things and places others do not! One of my favorite things to photograph are dead trees especially if near water and there is a reflection.
-
@Lisa K I love that!
My daughter is majoring in sports photography, but she has learned to take pictures of people and nature as well.

@kbmbillups1 I like the picture and the flower. I love autumn colours - many hues of yellow, brown so well matching. This year I left all the dried plants not trimmed for winter. They are such a nice decoration and birds love the seeds. Otherwise the garden is too sterile. I will cut the dried ones when the new start appearing. Still at least a month to go. And they are a protection for the roots or new buds during cold winter days.

@kbmbillups1 Wow what an exciting major, I love photography!
I have always loved taking photos, but I finally have time to learn more about photography through classes such as Craftsy & Great Courses, plus now I have time to go places and explore. My focus has always been and so far, is still taking pictures of nature, even the artwork in my house is mostly of animals or landscapes. 😊

Who wouldn't like brown flowers?!

@nicksamanda11 Our cats have loved them! They've rubbed on them so much my bouquet is starting to look kinda sad.
