Appalachian Truffles

Back in Washington state, we sometimes found squirrel digs with tiny little round pits in the bottom. I think it was some sort of truffle.

I am not surprised. There are many truffle type fungi. None are worth a cent until publicized... then....

@judsoncarroll4 Do you think all truffles are edible? With fungi, I tend toward caution, but I've not educated myself very well...

So far as I know... and all my books say, all truffles are edible, but not all are tasty. And, older ones may be hard to digest. Truffles, amazingly and like boletes, are not well studied and investigated.
